Peter La Grand

MC, MA, BA, RCC

Individual & Relationship Counsellor

Peter La Grand is a Vancouver-based Counsellor who has been involved in the field since 2006 and has worked in many mental health settings, including many years working with vulnerable people in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.  Peter believes deeply in the resilience of all human beings and the capacity of everyone to flourish.

Drawing on years of organizational leadership, clinical experience, and graduate level study of psychotherapy, Peter offers a pragmatic approach to therapy that allows him to support clients as they process the past, explore the present, and navigate with hope toward the future.

Peter is a registered counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and holds a Masters of Counselling from The City University of Seattle, a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Regent College, and a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin College.

Peter is committed to (and delights in) serving clients of diverse culture, gender, age, value structure in a non-judgemental and compassionate way, and is thankful for the privilege of living and working on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
